An arrogant, cruel queen looks in her magic mirror and learns that her beautiful stepdaughter, Snow White, is now "the most beautiful woman in the land". Initially, the queen sends her hunter to kill Snow White, but he is unable to carry out the murder. Snow White hides in the woods, where she discovers a small house inhabited by seven dwarfs. The evil queen's magic mirror tells her that Snow White is still alive, and the queen disguises herself as a farmer to poison Snow White herself.
