Hindi

Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by around 600 million people in India and Nepal, and it is one of the official languages of India, along with English. It is the most widely spoken language in India and the fourth most spoken language in the world.

Hindi uses the Devanagari script, an abugida writing system that represents consonants with an inherent vowel sound, which can be modified using diacritical marks. The script is written from left to right and is also used to write other languages, such as Sanskrit and Nepali.

How hard is it to learn Hindi?

Hindi can be a challenging language for English speakers to learn, due to its complex grammar and the use of the Devanagari script, which may be unfamiliar.

There are some similarities between English and Hindi that can make the learning process easier. For example, there are many loanwords from English in Hindi, and there are also cognates, words that are similar in both languages and have a common origin.
